Capybaras (Hydrochoerus hydrochaeris) are the largest rodents in the world, measuring 1.3 m in length and 60 cm in height and they live very well here in the Pantanal, where they can find the best habitat and plant of food. We can find groups of them here in the Barra Mansa Pantanal Lodge near the water as it is where they spend most of the time. Despite their size they are very calm and relax animals.
This photo belongs to our friend Gérman Paco when he came to visit us.
