This is one of the strangest animal in Pantanal: the Giant Anteater! They are common in Pantanal, where they find habitat and food in abundance. Their diet is retricted to ants and termites. They walk long distances during the coolest hours of the day and use their huge and furry tail to cover their bodies when they sleed in the woods.
This is a photo that our friend Stefan Gustafsson made while he was at the Barra Mansa Pantanal Lodge.
