Coati in the Pantanal

This is the South American Coati (Nasua nasua), one of the habitants of Pantanal.www.barramansalodge.com It eats fruits, insects, worms, eggs, and small vertebrates. At Barra Mansa, by the Negro River, it is common to see individuals in the morning and afternoon, on the ground walking with their tail held vertically, but also on trees looking for fruits.
